The Loving Earth story
It's no secret that Australians love their chocolate, and Loving Earth successfully provides chocolate-loving consumers with products that taste incredible while supporting a greater cause. The flavour is one thing, but when a brand can build a deeper connection with its customers based on an alignment of shared values, that embeds brand loyalty.
The first Loving Earth chocolate bar was made in the founders' kitchen, Scott Fry and Martha Butler. Demand quickly grew and has continued to grow, with current production in two Melbourne-based facilities.
At the heart of the Loving Earth brand is a desire to explore better business ways. They take a regenerative approach with ethical production that supports indigenous communities in Peru and Australia.
Regenerative principles run through the entire brand. The ingredients are produced without synthetic fertilisers, chemical pesticides, or herbicides and are grown to restore the environment. They use recycled and compostable packaging where possible, trade directly with their farmers and pay an above-fair trade price.
Loving Earth is widely known for producing superior chocolate. The range is gluten free, vegan, certified organic and handmade in Melbourne with ethically sourced ingredients.
The range includes 80g Bars, 45g Pocket Blocks and 30g Luv Hearts, Choc Coated Hazelnuts, Almonds in Mylk & Salted Caramel Choc, gift-boxed Bonbons and Hazelnut Chocolate Butter. The Drinking Chocolate contains decadent chunks of Loving Earth chocolate and is consistently rated highly in customer reviews.
Loving Earth is more than chocolate. Over the years, the brand has expanded to include high-quality superfoods previously endorsed by Serena Williams.
The range features:
- Yacon - a natural sweetener, high in prebiotics, low calorie and low GI.
- Wildcrafted Jilungin Dreaming Tea to promote relaxation and restful sleep.
- Wildcrafted Gubinge Powder, high in vitamin C.
- Exotic superfoods, including Maqui, Acai and Camu Camu packed in rPET jars to divert waste from landfill.
- Pantry staples, including Maca, Lucuma, Mesquite, Chia and Cacao Powder.
With nothing else like it on the market, the Loving Earth Buckinis are super high quality and versatile. Gluten free and made from buckwheat, Buckinis appeal to one in four Australians avoiding gluten in their diets.
The buckwheat in the Buckinis is soaked and activated to improve digestibility and then dehydrated to maintain the crunch. Ideal for adding to breakfast cereal, smoothies or as a topper for yoghurt or fresh fruit. Cane sugar-free, the flavours include Caramelised Clusters, Nut & Seed Cereal, Berry & Cacao Cereal, Deluxe Clusters, and the best-selling Chocolate Clusters.
Suitable for low-carb and keto diets, the Paleo Mix can be used like the Buckinis and is available in Berry Choc or Protein Power.
